Gin Rummy ( Gin ) is a popular and simple two
player card game which was created by Elwood T.
Baker in 1909. This popular game with a standard
52 - card deck, Aces are played on low and cards
are ranked accordingly - A-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K.
Dealing in the game is decided alternatively in
round. Both the players are dealt 10 cards each
and one card is dealt face up on the center of
the table. The remaining cards are kept on the
side faced down. |

Evaluation of
hand in Gin Rummy is based on melds which are
of two types.
1. Sets of three or more cards sharing the
same rank like 8♥-8 ♣-8♠. and;
2. Three or more cards running in sequence
like3♥-4♥-5♥-6♥-7♥. |

One thing to remember is that the objective of the game is to improve and Melds and eliminate deadwood. Aces are valued as 1, Face cards as 10, and the rest are valued according to their numeric values.

1. Single match : In this type of match, players continues to play round until he scores 100 points.
2. Multi Match : In this type of match, scores of each game are recorded and the start of the next game the scores are reset to zero. Recorded game scores are accumulate and the player with 100 points in total is declared winner.
